OPD queue management

OPD token and queue management software

QR self-registration, a time on every token, emergency patients first, a missed list and a waiting-room TV that speaks Hindi or English. Patients always know when their turn is.

A queue patients can trust

Long, unclear waits are the biggest OPD complaint. DB HMS gives every patient a token with a time, and keeps that time honest as the day moves.

Getting a token

  • QR self-registration: patients scan at the gate and fill their own form
  • Reception desk registration with search by name or phone
  • Booking slots and a daily limit per hospital, if you want one

Running the line

  • Emergency and urgent patients go first automatically
  • Missed and not-here list, one click to bring a patient back in line
  • Call next from the desk, or from the doctor's clicker button

Telling patients

  • A clock-time estimate on every token, kept up to date
  • Waiting-room TV with a chime and a Hindi or English voice
  • Patient page showing their own live token on their phone

Rules that match how your OPD really runs

Hours and limits

  • Token open and close times, weekly hours and holidays
  • A one-day override when the doctor is late or away

Vitals first

  • Reception records vitals and they appear on the doctor's screen
  • No re-typing between the desks

Connected to the rest

  • The visit moves on to the doctor, lab, pharmacy and billing
  • Charges post themselves to the bill

Questions people ask

How do patients get a token?

Patients scan the hospital's QR code and fill their own form, or reception registers them at the desk. Either way they get a token and a time.

Does the patient see how long the wait is?

Yes. Each token shows an estimated clock time, and the patient can follow their own turn live on their phone. It is an estimate that updates as the day moves.

Can we show the queue on a TV in the waiting room?

Yes. DB HMS has a waiting-room display with a chime and a voice in Hindi or English.

What happens to emergencies and patients who miss their turn?

Emergency and urgent patients go first automatically. Patients who are not there when called move to a Missed list and can be brought back into the line with one click.

Can we limit how many tokens are given in a day?

Yes. You can set token open and close times, weekly hours, holidays and a daily limit, and override a single day when needed.
